Read over on the AVS forum that DNNA has filed chapter 7 which means it won't be coming back like it would if the had filed chapter 11.
So I guess this is the end or Replay EPG, good news for LaHo, and it may mean that for all those users that don't follow the forums it may mean a lot of machines in non profit thrift shops.

replaytv had a great run. tried using on demand for the past week but it is so sloppy and poorly designed. if it was more like hbo go i would not have to keep mine running. so, hi ho hi ho off to laho i go.

Since I got used to high definition I no longer use my replay. However I did like the zones to find out about new programs. Is there any way I can do that from some other source. Because of increasing loss of mental powers try to keep answers relatively clear.

Thanks.

I'm not sure how much of a "power user" you are, but XMLTV has some tools that could work for you.

1. tv_grab_na_dd to download XMLTV formatted data
2. tv_check to generate a report in html format
3. a web browser to display the report

I currently run it weekly and get a pop-up report that displays when things move around, new episodes, etc. If it doesn't support genres, I'd be willing to add it.

Thanks, but this sounds like more work that I would like, since I am no longer as mentally as agile as I was. I see that there are some simple sites that give some information about new shows. In any case what was handy was the ability to do things when at my tv and not my computer.

Well, since I believe you already run WiRNS, the Schedules Direct feed has been enhanced for WiRNS users to provide this feature of indicating new programs. So, if you switch your WiRNS to using Schedules Direct (I'm assuming that you weren't already using it since you're writing this), then you would be able to see this information on your ReplayTV as you always could...
